Stressed The Buck Out!

Do you stress about money? Does your financial situation make you a nervous wreck? It is safe to say you are not alone. According to CNBC, a whopping 8 out of 10 Americans are in debt. That is a big number! You may not see the light at the end of the tunnel right now, but with support and a few life changes you will get there. The latest trend in personal finance seems to be budgeting and while everyone’s finances may not be, the debt free community is thriving. Social media gives those who are willing a platform to share their journey and get motivated, while remaining accountable. Here is a list of physical resources to help get you one step closer to achieving financial freedom. Next time we’ll discuss digital ways to get your finances in shape if that is more your thing.

1. Budgeting envelopesThe cash system works for a lot of people. If you are not a fan of carrying cash, I understand. However, starting with these budgeting envelopes can help you to get organized in the beginning. I have found that they also prevent the spending free-for-all that many know all too well.

2. All-in-one wallet – Part of having your finances in order involves putting a system in place. This wallet fits not only your cash envelopes, but other necessities such as ID, credit cards, etc. Having everything you need in one place eliminates confusion.

3. Budget planner – This product is awesome for planning and knowing what is ahead. There is nothing worse than being blindsided or hit with an unexpected expense. A budget planner is a place that you can record all upcoming bills, automatic payments, and expenses.

4. Good and Cheap: Eat Well on $4/Day – This book is great for recipes on a budget. Food is always a budget killer, but it doesn’t have to be. Not today! It is amazing how much we all spend on food, make it your mission to see how much how much you can save, who know it might end up being fun.

5. Meal prep containers – This one is tough for me because I love eating out but packing your lunch and meal prepping will save you so much money. It will bring some order to your life and by default you might make healthier choices so this is a win, win!

I hope these tools help you out in some way! Please comment if you use any tools that help keep you on track!
