It was the Tuesday of the month that bulk garbage could go out. I was eyeing some furniture that a neighbor three doors down was lugging out to the tree lawn. At this point I knew I had an actual opportunity because it looked super nice from afar and I was tortured by the thought of this driving off in a garbage truck. It took about two seconds to realize I really wanted this piece but was terrified to be labeled a “garage picker”, but after some time I built up the courage.
Uh oh, It’s happening
I went down and found this small dresser/nightstand table that was in perfectly good condition. At this point, I was determined to grab this piece of trash and turn it into my treasure. It was missing a knob so I headed over to Lowe’s and bought the cheapest, simplest knobs I could find which were $0.98 per piece. I tried to keep the piece neutral to appeal to as many potential buyers as possible, but with such a fun variety of knobs If I was keeping it for myself I could have made more of a personal statement. Finally, this garbage picked beauty looked complete and I snapped a few pics and posted on Facebook marketplace along with a few local buy/sell groups. After no time at all I made my first flipping sale for $50.00. Not bad for doing little to no work!
